Writings, quotations, drawings about FRIENDSHIP

- March, 01 2005 -

We will never lose each other

How much life has passed between us
we, two moving trains, won't submit to the world
it burnt time and now, more than ever,
raises a cloud of dust which chokes the wind too.
But don't be afraid my friend
this impalpable fog won't be able to take away
the memories in the darkness
of silence and of oblivion
not even make us wave a brief and last goodbye
No, it will never see us
swallowed by the void, in opposite abysses
we will fight together in the darkness
against a loneliness which becomes
bigger and bigger
in secluded places, where dreams wither
absorbed by reality they slowly fade
leaving in the air the scent of a summer
of ephemeral and never kept promises.
We will face together the nostalgia
which on the thread of past mends the memories
we will steal the fragments and along the way
we will read them because it's never too late
to recall together those moments of joy
full of elation far from boredom
of which only remains the certainty
of our friendship that like a caress
touches me lightly and stays near me
faithful and sincere, stronger than fate.
Then, there won't be mist darkening
the sky anymore.
We will discover new lights and horizons to embrace
because the important, my friend, is to really believe
the rest will come on its own
if you go on challenging
the mirage of a slow, hostile and hard present
that one day will be killed
and buried by that future
in which we will live and dream together again
crossing the finishing line and triumphing
in a world where everyone is after their troubles…
… I swear it to you my friend:
we will never lose each other!
